Today was the big kick off of my company's sponsorship of Make a Wish. I think I will volunteer officially. It's something I've often thought about doing and I feel like now would be a good time to start. So yeah. Just a thought.

I don't really know what else to say. I'm only posting today to try to get myself into the habit of posting before I go on my trip. Otherwise I'm liable to forget to do it. Not that anyone is reading anyways. I'm really doing this more for myself. I used to write CONSTANTLY! In fact, I almost lost a job 12 years ago because I would write when business was slow. I have all these old notebooks that were basically just stream of consciousness and completely irrelevant to anyone but myself. I guess I just had a lot going on in my head that I needed to get out. The fact that I haven't written much in about 10 years makes me kinda wonder... I wish I could remember why I stopped.

So, on Wednesday it's off to Seattle and then on to Vancouver. After that, it's 100 Monkeys and a quick overnight in Boston and then off to Philly for more Monkeys (with Emma! Yay!!) and hopefully to see some friends. I'm not sure which part I'm most excited about. I do have to say, however, that as much as I'm looking forward to everything, I am also afraid that it's going to go by so fast that I won't really have the presence of mind to take a step back, look around, and appreciate what is happening while it's happening. That is so my MO. Hence why I will hopefully remember to document it all here.

On that note, I am off to bed. I feel like I have a bajillion things that I need to get done at work tomorrow. I've never taken two full weeks off before so I am a little bit nervous, but I'm sure it will all be fine!! Yay!!!

Starting Over

So here I am...I just deleted the handful of blogs that I wrote on here over the past 3 years or so because there was just no point in keeping them!! My life has changed so much in the past few years that I can't even explain it. So instead, let's pretend that life is beginning right now.

Today is Wednesday 6/29/11. I have all kinds of ridiculousness planned after this week because I have the next two weeks off. First, Seattle/Vancouver. Second, Boston. Third, Philadelphia!!

I'm going to attempt to actually update this thing while I'm traveling but we'll just have to wait and see how that goes...

...oh, and if anyone read the blogs that I deleted from this site a little while ago, I decided to say eff it and dyed my hair purple again...but only a little. It's very subtle and I LOVE IT!!!!
